Hitherfield School will now require all staff and students to complete a daily health screening form prior to arriving at school. If you do not receive an email from the school at 6 am with the form you can find this on our website under “Parents" called “Daily Health Screening Form”. As of right now, temperatures are to be recorded in °C.
Once the form is completed you will receive a confirmation email with either a green checkmark ✅ or a red ❌. Students and staff with the green checkmark are permitted to attend school that day.
On arrival, having completed the form, and received a green checkmark ✅ drive to the RIGHT side of the driveway where a staff member will double check your temperature, and confirm that the form has been filled out. Please have the email opened and ready as you are pulling up to the drive-through. Everyone’s mask must be on, windows down for inspection, and please have all your belongings ready to go.
If you have not completed the health screening form please drive to the LEFT side of the driveway where you will then have to complete the form.
Alongside the mandatory health screening form, all staff and students MUST wear a mask at all times inside the school building, and finally, parents and guardians are not permitted in the school this school year.

Changes Around The School
Please watch the video below to see the new changes made around Hitherfield to ensure a safe learning experience for all.
Hitherfield has been a staple of its community since opening its doors in 1991. Over the past 30 years it has been our goal to not only nurture the curiosity and development of independent thinkers, but to also ensure the safety and general well-being of our students. These goals have been especially relevant during the COVID-19 pandemic as our administration has worked tirelessly to ensure the safety of not only our students and staff, but also the safety and health of their families and the surrounding community. We have made necessary changes throughout the school that have not only affected the ways in which our classrooms operate each day, but also physical changes to the school that will help mitigate the risk of transmission of the virus within our walls, and lastly we continue to educate our students and their families of the risks of COVID-19 and what they can do at home to help stop the spread. With so many changes to our policies, one thing has remained true, we remain steadfast in our commitment to providing our students with the high level of education that has come to be expected of us.
We will continue to monitor and evaluate the situation in order to maintain this quality of service, and hope that one day soon this will all be behind us.
Thank-you for your continued support.
